Auditions for A G&S Christmas Carol
Published: July 29, 2015Open auditions for our fall performance of A Gilbert and Sullivan Christmas Carol will be held August 24th and 25th at 7 pm in Salem United Church of Christ's gymnatorium (60 Bittner St., 14604). Vocal auditions are only for those seeking a named role and will begin promptly at 7. Please prepare 16-24 measures of any song in English. An accompanist will be provided.
This year, as a new feature, we are excited to announce that all performances will be accessible to Deaf and hearing audiences. Those who are skilled in American Sign Language (ASL) can sign their song or tell a story in sign language during the vocal auditions.
After a 15 minute break we will continue with readings from the show. Readings have been chosen for you to show us your flexibility and creativity as an actor. Use your imagination! There will not be separate readings for each character. Readings are available upon request before the auditions.
