Auditions for the Sorcerer - Fall 2014

Auditions for our Fall 2014 production of the Sorcerer will take place on Tuesday, 26 August and Wednesday, 27 August at Salem United Church of Christ, 60 Bittner St., 14606 at 7pm.
Please prepare a 16-bar excerpt from the Gilbert & Sullivan canon or a song excerpt in English. Please bring your own sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Be prepared for a dance/movement assessment. We will also have dialogue excerpts for reading.
Synopsis:
Young Alexis Pointdextre preaches that love should defy social rank and order. Frustrated with his inability to convince people, Alexis asks John Wellington Wells, local sorcerer extraordinaire, to concoct a love potion and prove his point. All does not go according to plan, however, and hilarity ensues in Gilbert and Sullivan’s usual topsy-turvy fashion.
