AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT

The Off-Monroe Players will present ‘Iolanthe,’ by W. S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan, for their Spring 2023 show!

The show will be directed by Luane Davis Haggerty, with musical direction by Dr. Alex Kuczynski.

AUDITION INFORMATION

Audition Dates and Location: January 26, 6:00pm-8:30pm in Celebration Hall at Downtown United Presbyterian Church January 28, 10:00am-12:00pm in the Shaw Room at Downtown United Presbyterian Church

Auditions are for Principal roles, chorus may sign up at auditions or attend the first rehearsal on January 30, 2023 at 6:00pm.

What To Prepare: A Gilbert and Sullivan piece (if you already have a piece from ‘Iolanthe’ prepared that would be a nice choice!) We are looking for strong vocal quality and skill with humor, and ability to express the character.

We are interested in all types, genders, ethnicities and abilities. Please bring a photo/resume if you have one. If not, we will want to take a picture and have you fill out a form.

While we prefer in-person auditions, if an alternative is needed, please send a link to your recorded audition to lrdnpa@rit.edu.

Be sure to let us know of other theatrical skills you may have: dance, juggling, gymnastics, ASL, etc.

Rehearsals: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00pm - 8:45pm

Performance Dates: May 12, 13, 19, 20 at 7:30pm and May 14, 21 at 2:00pm

*Auditions, rehearsals and performances are at Downtown United Presbyterian Church, 121 Fitzhugh St. N, Rochester, NY

OMP requires participants to be at least 14 years of age. Cast members between ages 14-18 must have a parent/guardian as a member of the cast or present at all rehearsals.
