Auditions for The Sorcerer!

AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT!
PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW.
We will be holding auditions this September for our Fall 2023 production of The Sorcerer by W. S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan.

Assistant Director - Mo Heyden
Musical Director - Emily Mills
AUDITION INFORMATION: Tuesday and Wednesday, September 5th and 6th from 6:30pm - 8:00pm.
Auditions are for Principal roles only, chorus may sign up at auditions or simply attend the first rehearsal on Sept 15th at 6:30pm. All participants: download and fill out the file attached at the end of this page.
Auditions, rehearsals and performances will be held at Downtown United Presbyterian Church, 121 Fitzhugh St. N, Rochester, NY, 14614.
We welcome cast members ages 14+, but cast members between the ages of 14 and 18 must have a parent/guardian/member of the cast present at all rehearsals.
We ask that everyone be COVID vaccinated.
Please prepare a 16-bar excerpt from the Gilbert & Sullivan canon, or a song excerpt in English. If possible, please sing a song for the role (s) you're interested in! (Here is the score we are using.)
Note: Some roles may be re-written for different ages and genders. Please let us know at auditions if you are game to try something a little different!
Please bring your own sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
We will also have dialogue excerpts available for readings after vocal auditions.
REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
PERFORMANCES: November 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th at 7:30PM, Nov 12th, 19th at 2:00PM.
